Arte en la Tierra
For the 2020 Arte en la Tierra event, held annually in the Riojan village of Santalucía de Ocón, third-year Graphic Design students at the Escuela Superior de Diseño de La Rioja were tasked with developing, laying out, and physically producing a catalogue/object-book containing information about artists connected to the land art movement. In my specific case, I was assigned to include information about the American photographer Art Wolfe and the product design studio Bentu Design, based in Guangzhou, China.

My proposal is based on the union of two books of different sizes. The smaller one, printed in black ink on yellow recycled paper, presents general information about the concept of land art and the origins of the event itself; while the larger book, featuring two black-stained plywood covers and recycled paper pages bound with simple Coptic stitching, offers detailed information about the artists and their work.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was ultimately carried out digitally.
